Program Outline
On successful completion of this module you will be able to: Critically evaluate, determine and implement appropriate physiotherapy management to develop clinical practice related to continence care and pelvic floor dysfunction. Apply advanced skills related to the subjective and objective assessment and examination of the patient. Utilise advanced knowledge and clinical reasoning skills to determine the appropriate physiotherapy management for pelvic floor, bladder and bowel dysfunction. Synthesise knowledge and critically reflect on evidence based physiotherapy practice, applying this to advancing clinical practice in pelvic floor, bladder and bowel dysfunction. Appraise the role of other healthcare professionals involved in continence care and pelvic floor dysfunction in a variety of healthcare settings.
Entry Requirements:
Students should: Hold a relevant professional qualification normally at Bachelors degree level (Ordinary or Honours) or equivalent Be a physiotherapist registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) if you are intending to undertake the practice module Normally have two years post qualification experience Normally be working in the field of women's health and / or continence care Have access to appropriate clinical practice

You must have an IELTS score of 6.5 (or equivalent) if English is not your first language.
