Hofstra University's Drama & Dance department offers a BFA in Performance program. Students must audition with monologues and a song from the Golden Age of Musicals. The audition also serves as an evaluation for one of six Talent Scholarships. No headshot is needed.

The program is offered by the Drama & Dance department at Hofstra University. The program requires students to submit a BFA in Performance application form and sign up for a BFA in Performance audition. Auditions are held in person at the Joan and Donald Schaeffer Black Box Theater. Students must prepare two contrasting one-minute monologues or a single one-minute monologue and one minute of a song from the Golden Age of Musicals (1940s-1960s). An accompanist will be provided, and students must bring sheet music. Students must also bring a résumé. No headshot is needed. The BFA audition will also serve as the evaluation for one of the six Talent Scholarships.
