MSc Textile Technology (Technical Textiles)
Overview
The MSc Textile Technology (Technical Textiles) program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the textile industry, from the production of raw materials to the creation of finished products. The program is accredited by the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) and is ranked 4th in the UK and in the top 25 in the world for Materials Science (QS World Rankings 2023).
Entry Requirements
- A UK lower-class (2.2) Honours degree in a Science, Engineering or Technology field, or equivalent international degree.

Course Details
- Duration: 12 months (full-time).
- The program is taught in the brand-new Home of Engineering and Materials, a purpose-built space for innovation and creativity.
- Students will learn about the whole process of converting fibrous materials into textile end products.
- The program is designed to develop students' ability to identify and analyze the appropriate material and production route for a specific end product.
- Students will gain expertise and skills to conduct quality evaluation of textile products.

Fees
- For entry in the academic year beginning September 2025, the tuition fees are as follows:
- MSc (full-time): £14,000 (UK students), £35,000 (International, including EU, students).
- The fees quoted above will be fully inclusive for the course tuition, administration, and computational costs during studies.
- All fees for entry will be subject to yearly review and incremental rises per annum.
