Program Overview
Clinical Data Science
Overview
The PgCert Clinical Data Science is a part-time, modular program designed to empower healthcare professionals to apply data science in practice and translate data into patient benefit. The program offers a rich mixture of online and face-to-face learning opportunities, allowing students to build their digital, data capabilities and confidence.
Entry Requirements
- An honours degree (minimum 2:1) or overseas equivalent
- Relevant work experience may be considered on an individual basis
- Non-standard applications will be considered at the discretion of the Programme Director
Application and Selection
- Application deadlines:
- 31st August 2025 for Clinical Data Engineering (September 2025 start) and Maths, Stats, and Machine Learning (November 2025 start)
- 19 January 2025 for Data Visualisation and Communication (March 2025 start) and Human Factors and Digital Transformation (June 2025 start)
- Places are limited, so early application is recommended
- When applying, select PG Cert Clinical Data Science on the application form and choose the start month for each unit

Fees
- For entry in the academic year beginning September 2025:
- UK students (per annum): £1,350 per 15 credits
- International, including EU, students (per annum): £3,500 per 15 credits

- You should be able to complete your course without incurring additional study costs over the tuition fee.
- Any unavoidable additional compulsory costs totalling over 1% of the annual home UG fee per annum will be made clear at the point of application.
