Overview

This course will give you the opportunity to combine your initiative, numeracy skills, and detailed subject knowledge to make modern industry work better for us all. Mechanical engineering plays a vital role in many industries, including aerospace, manufacturing, medicine, renewable energy, and Formula 1.

Course Information

This course is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Institution of Engineering Designers (IED) on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of demonstrating in full, the underpinning knowledge and understanding required for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng).

  • IB Score: 36 Points overall or 766 in 3 Higher Level Certificates

Year in Industry

  • The fourth year of this course is spent in industry.
  • You will receive support in applying for a year-long placement with an appropriate company.
  • During the placement, you will significantly enhance your engineering knowledge and skills.

Additional Costs

  • Books: You can access all the essential course books through our libraries, and there is usually no need to purchase your own copies.
