Program Description

This pre-professional program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of communication disorders and prepares them for careers as speech pathology assistants and/or audiology assistants. The program also serves as a foundation for graduate study in speech-language pathology and audiology.


Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of the program enables individuals to meet the academic and clinical practicum requirements for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence and the state of Texas license in speech-language pathology and/or audiology.
