Program Overview

The University of Sussex's Social Work and Social Care PhD program offers advanced research training in diverse topics within social work and care. Interdisciplinary in nature, the program draws on expertise from various social sciences fields to equip students with in-depth knowledge and skills in safeguarding, mental health, adoption, digital childhoods, and wellbeing. Conducted by leading experts, research within the program revolves around three research centers: Innovation and Research in Adult Wellbeing, Innovation and Research in Childhood and Youth, and Social Work Innovation and Research.
