It is the first program in the nation to feature this requirement at the Ph.D. level, purposely engaging students in entrepreneurship and in the creation and use of intellectual property and patent development. Students earn a minor in Entrepreneurship from the G. Brint Ryan College of Business in addition to their doctoral degree, providing them with in-depth knowledge that helps them move their original ideas and results to the marketplace smoothly.
