• Seminar in Leadership (3 hrs) Covers a broad range of research topics impacting the merchandising, hospitality, and tourism industries. Explores current trends through concentrated reading, industry connections, and group discussion.
• Talent Development (3 hrs) Examines the impact of business environments on professional and career effectiveness in the merchandising and digital retailing fields. Topics include effective business communication, ethical decision making, and leadership development.
• Effective Leadership Communication (3 hrs) Principles of effective leadership communication will be explored as students develop, deliver, and evaluate professional presentations.
• Foundations of Leading Hospitality Organizations and Talent Examines leadership theory using virtual simulations and case studies. Students will learn how to manage change, deal with conflict, and lead with confidence.
