Program Courses

• Advanced Theory and Research in Administration (3 hrs)
  • Examines the impact of positivism, subjectivism, and functionalism on recent research in school organization and administration.
• Seminar in Advanced Education Law (3 hrs)
  • Focuses on legal and policy issues of particular concern to top-level educational policymakers and administrators.
• Seminar in Advanced Educational Finance (3 hrs)
  • Explores problems and issues involved in financing public schools.
• The Superintendency (3 hrs)
  • Deals with the basic functions of the superintendency — planning, programming, communicating, and evaluating — and current issues confronting the practicing educational administrator.
• Internship Under School Superintendent (3 hrs)
  • Provides on-the-job experience or professional study in administration or supervision as directed by the student's major advisor. Requires 160 hours of experience.
