Refine your sculpting skills and gain an elevated understanding of the practice. This broad and intensive terminal degree experience focuses on intellectual and creative growth, fostering the students' practice and preparing them for a lifetime of accomplishment and meaningful contribution as culture creators. The program frames the individual needs of each student through the development of conceptual, aesthetic, and technical skills.

The Studio Art M.F.A. program integrates creative research, contemporary theory, and studio practice culminating in a solo exhibition. Career Opportunities

This degree will prepare graduates for diverse career pathways in education, museum work, commercial industries, and the arts. Employment opportunities include being hired as a professor, lecturer, or technician at a college or university; a general art teacher in elementary and high schools; or a workshop leader. Fine artists may maintain a professional studio practice and produce exhibitions and public art installations in settings such as airports, public parks and metropolitan areas. Work may be commissioned by individual collectors, businesses, arts organizations and government organizations. Graduates may be self-employed business owners or work for manufacturers or large-scale studios. Additional employment opportunities include artwork restoration, the production of models for film, set design, digital sculpture/prop making, fabrication, exhibition design, art handling and gallery installation.
