Outcomes

98 percent of Xavier students are working, volunteering, or in graduate school within six months of graduation (Class of 2023). Xavier music graduates have gone on to diverse positions and employers such as music educators, private music studio instructors, university professors, performers in local bands, sales professionals in recording equipment, and members of the United States Army Band.

  • Electronic Music (MUSC 127): Introduces the hardware and software used in electronic music production, emphasizing music sequencing, digital recording, and mixing techniques.
  • Audio Production (DIFT 340): Delves into the technical and theoretical foundations of audio production, exploring aspects such as digital sound editing, integration of special effects, commercial production techniques, and documentary production principles.
  • Studio Production (MUSC 342): Students assume the role of sound engineer in all areas of professional audio, including acoustics, microphone techniques, analog and digital signal flow, using computers, recording, studio policies, and working with clientele.
  • The Album Project (MUSC 369): Students masterfully study and perform a classic album from top to bottom, culminating in a musical performance.

  • A caBellas: A close-knit group of students who love performing a cappella music on and off campus.
  • All-Inclusive Dance Club: A club for those looking for a casual environment to move creatively and learn or practice basic combinations or dance practices.
  • Harmon-X: An a cappella group whose mission is to bring high-quality music to campus and beyond.
  • Hip Hop Collective: A club dedicated to promoting cultural awareness of Hip Hop by educating members on its fundamental elements and rich historical foundation.
