Program Overview
This 9-week intensive program is designed to help nurses obtain a current practicing certificate to work as a registered nurse in New Zealand. It consists of 3 weeks of theory study covering ethics, New Zealand regulations, cultural safety, and preparation for clinical practice, followed by 6 weeks of practical clinical experience in various healthcare settings, including primary, acute, continuing, and mental health care. The program is available to New Zealand Registered Nurses and internationally qualified nurses with at least one year of work experience, and successful completion allows applicants to apply to the Nursing Council of New Zealand for a practicing certificate.
