Degree Overview:

The Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) program at SUNY Oswego is accredited by ABET, the global accreditor of college and university programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology. The program prepares students for successful careers in engineering or related professional disciplines, or the successful pursuit of graduate studies. The program focuses on five high-demand concentration areas:

  • Wireless Communications
  • Modern Energy Systems
  • Students can join prestigious engineering societies like IEEE, ACM, SWE, and others to network with other students and professionals. Extracurricular activities include participation in special-interest student clubs in robotics, power systems, telecommunications, and others, as well as participation in academic student competitions.

Teaching:

The program features small class sizes, allowing students to get to know their professors. The Shineman Center for Science, Engineering and Innovation, a $118-million dollar facility, serves as the home for the mathematics, science, computing, and engineering programs. The center features a planetarium, three observation decks, a greenhouse, extensive laboratories, and state-of-the-art equipment.
