Program Overview

The Studio Art Minor complements students' primary majors by fostering creative problem-solving and artmaking skills. Through foundation courses and upper-level electives, students explore visual thinking, artistic traditions, and individualized approaches to art. The minor requires 21 credits, including lower-division and designated elective courses, and prepares students for careers in painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, and draftsmanship.
