The Department of Art + Design offers 4 undergraduate degrees, each unique and requiring different hours, credits, and electives. The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree is designed to provide professional development at the undergraduate level in the visual arts, through in-depth study in studio art.
Program Details
The curriculum for the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree requires a minimum of 75 semester hours in art, at least 36 of which must be in upper-division coursework. The degree requires a minimum of 120 credits, including:
- 42 - Core Curriculum Program
- 2 - First-Years Seminars (when applicable)
- 75 - Major Requirements
- 3 - University Electives
Course Requirements
Full-time, first-time in college students are required to take the first-year seminars, which include:
- UNIV 1101 First-Year Seminar I 1 sem. hr.
- UNIV 1102 First-Year Seminar II 1 sem. hr.

Program Structure
