The Dance Minor program is available to all majors in all disciplines and professionals or educators seeking a certificate to develop their skill and knowledge in the area of dance. The program aims to enhance the marketability of students working towards teacher certification, theatre majors pursuing careers in the arts, and graduates seeking to enhance their careers in arts education, community theatre, or health therapies. The program also prepares students for the TExES/ExCET exam required to teach dance in the Texas public school system.

The Minor in Dance Program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is comprised of technique courses in ballet, modern, and jazz with opportunities to perform in each course as well as perform in the dance performance course.
