Program Overview

Western Oregon University's Public History Minor prepares students to preserve, interpret, and present history through interdisciplinary learning. Students gain practical experience through partnerships with local organizations and develop critical thinking, research, and communication skills. The minor includes core courses in historical research, public history, and museum studies, along with elective options from various disciplines such as business, computer science, arts, education, and social sciences.
