Program Overview

The Abdomen-Extended & OB/GYN (Ultrasound) program at the College of Health Professions is a Bachelor of Science degree that prepares students for entry-level practice as medical sonographers. The program emphasizes professionalism, lifelong learning, and the use of sound waves to assess and diagnose medical conditions in areas such as abdominal organs, pelvis, obstetrics, and superficial structures. Graduates are eligible to take national certification examinations and are prepared for careers with projected growth faster than the average for all occupations.
