The Music, BA program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in music, including music technology, composition, theory, and performance.

About the Program

With a music degree, students can learn more than how to make a beautiful, artistic soundthey can learn all about music technology, composition, theory, and more. With their passion and degree, students can pursue jobs in music production, teaching, or performing.

To start on the right note, students will need to determine their music career goal. In addition to their regular coursework, they will be encouraged to audition for various student performances. There are many ensembles and other performance opportunities for students to choose from. If students concentrate on music technology, they will be required to do an internship. If they focus on music education, they will need to complete the necessary requirements to teach K-12. Either way, their advisor will be there to help them every step of the way.
