About the Program

As a musical theatre major, you will learn technique in acting, singing, dancing, auditioning, and more. This intense curriculum is designed to prepare students for the contemporary musical theatre market and to connect students to professional opportunities locally and nationally, including a showcase in New York City.

This competitive BFA program requires an audition for entry. Each semester, students take classes in acting, dance, and voice, and over the course of the program, students also study technical theatre, musical theatre history, and the business of theatre. There are five mainstage performance opportunities offered each year, as well as studio and touring productions, giving students ample opportunities to work onstage and behind the scenes.
