Program Overview

The PhD in Materials Science program at UAB is a collaborative program between UAB, UA, and UAHuntsville that prepares students for careers in materials research, industry, or academia through a diverse education and required research dissertation. Students can enter the program with a bachelor's or master's degree, with varying requirements. The program is delivered on-campus through in-person meetings.
