Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies

The Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies program at UAB offers a unique opportunity for students to customize their master's degree by combining two areas of expertise. This program is designed for individuals who want to wear multiple hats in their career and require a specialized skill set.

Program Overview

The Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies program allows students to choose two approved graduate certificate programs, which include topics such as Business Analytics, Teaching Multilingual Learners, and Global Health, among others. Students are required to complete 30 credit hours, including courses in both certificates and a final Capstone Experience to demonstrate mastery of the subjects. The degree earned (MA or MS) depends on the certificates chosen.
