The Engineering Design BSE program at UAB is designed to prepare students for careers in the field of engineering design. The program includes a 15-hour engineering design and innovation core, which serves as the backbone of the curriculum. This core consists of a three-course progression in engineering design and a two-semester capstone project. The program also includes fundamental math, science, physics, and engineering skills. Students can choose an engineering focus for their minor, and they can also choose a second minor in another engineering concentration or any one of the approved minors.
