The BA (Hons) Education degree at Bath Spa University is designed to prepare students for a career in education, exploring the potential of education to transform lives in different ways. Entry Requirements
- A Level: grades BBB-BCC preferred
- BTEC: Extended Diploma grades from Distinction Distinction Merit (DDM) to Distinction Merit Merit (DMM) accepted in any subject
- T Levels: grade Merit preferred
- International Baccalaureate: a minimum of 32 points required
- Access to HE courses: typical offers for applicants with Access to HE will be the Access to HE Diploma or Access to HE Certificate (60 credits, 45 of which must be Level 3, at Merit or higher)
English Language Requirements for International and EU Applicants
- IELTS 6.0 - for visa nationals, with a minimum score of IELTS 5.5 in each element

Degree Overview:
This BA (Hons) Education degree is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for a career in education, whether as a teacher, policy maker, researcher, or in other related fields. The program emphasizes the transformative power of education and its role in promoting social justice, sustainability, wellbeing, and inclusion. Students will explore important current themes in education, develop professional skills through work placements and research projects, and gain a comprehensive understanding of education systems from a national and global perspective.

- Wellbeing in Education through Different Lenses: This module examines the concept of wellbeing in education from various perspectives, including psychology, sociology, and philosophy.
- Children and Young People’s Voice and Participation: Students will learn about the importance of children and young people's voices in education and how to promote their participation in decision-making processes.
- Controversial Issues in Special and Inclusive Education: This module explores current debates and challenges in special and inclusive education.
