This Award of Institutional Credit in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (ALTHE) is an ideal first step towards a full teaching qualification in higher education. The course is designed for those with limited teaching experience, such as part-time staff, or those who do training, teaching assistant and support roles.

Entry Requirements

• UK citizens and permanent residents: An undergraduate (honours) degree at 2:2, or above. Applicants without a degree that have professional qualifications or relevant professional experience may be considered.

• Scholarships and bursaries: We offer a wide range of financial help including scholarships and bursaries.
• The Greenwich Bursary: This bursary is worth £700 for new undergraduate students with a low household income, entering Year 0 or 1 who meet the eligibility criteria.
• EU Bursary: Following the UK's departure from the European Union, we are supporting new EU students by offering a substantial fee-reduction for studying.

Support and Advice

• Academic skills and study support: We provide inductions to the software we use and the formative tasks are designed to help you adjust to writing at Level 7 in a discipline (education) that you may not be accustomed to.
• Support from the department: We offer one-to-one tutoring throughout the course. You are entitled to make appointments at mutually conducive times and these can be face-to-face or online.
