Through coursework, projects, and industry collaboration, graduates develop skills in quality management, lean six sigma, and project management, preparing them for leadership roles in engineering and production. The program offers full-time or part-time study options, with a focus on practical application to enhance employability.
Program Outline
It is aimed at graduates wishing to broaden their expertise from a technological undergraduate degree or who want to work within the engineering industry in a management capacity. Students will be equipped with state-of-the-art concepts, methods, techniques, and tools to contribute towards the competitiveness of industrial and commercial organizations worldwide. The scope of the course includes:
- Continuous process improvement
- Quality and lean six sigma techniques
- Production planning
- Performance measurement In addition to a team industry project, students will undertake an individual project. For group projects, students will have the opportunity to work with fellow students and an industrial client to address a practical problem. They will gain direct industry experience to add to their CV, develop skills, manage a project through to completion, and practice working in a multidisciplinary group preparing them for collaborative work throughout their future career.
