Degree Overview:
The Master's Degree in Art and Technology is a 12-month graduate program that fuses emergent media, computer science, electronic music, and digital art. Through its strong emphasis on practice, the program explores the impact that technological advances and art have had across cultural disciplines. Following this, students focus on the core aspects of critical theory, creative coding, physical computing, audio, and video. In the second semester, through small group teaching and specialist seminars and workshops, students explore the integration of advanced topics in areas including digital fabrication, composition, game design, and coding in their practice. Students also begin the development of their major research project.

Entry Requirements:
A primary degree with first or second-class honours (Level 8 – National Qualifications Authority of Ireland or equivalent) in Art (including for example, Fine Art, Music, Theatre and Performance), Design, Engineering, or Computer Science. Alternatively, in lieu of prior academic work, applicants with significant portfolios and/or professional experience will be considered for admission. Applicants are requested to submit a portfolio showing previous creative and technical work, professional, academic or research.
