Human Resource Management - MSc

Brief Description

The Master of Science in Human Resource Management is a one-year, full-time or two-year, part-time programme that equips students with the skills to address critical human resource issues affecting modern organisations. Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD), the programme focuses on core knowledge and theory underpinning effective people management.

  • Contemporary HRM and Sustainable Work (PM6401) provides knowledge to design and implement people management processes compatible with the creation of sustainable working environments
  • The Psychology of Leading People and Organisations (PM6411) develops leadership skills to become ethical and effective leaders in the workplace

  • Researching Work and Employment (PM6421) equips students to conduct empirical and applied research for the dissertation component of the programme

Spring Semester

  • Conflict Resolution in the Employment Relationship (PM6402) outlines skills and competence required to resolve conflicts at work
  • Learning and Development (PM6422) enables students to design learning, training, and development interventions and programmes for all types of organisations

  • The Transformation of Work in a Global Context (PM6412) enables students to study issues shaping the transformation of work from global perspectives

Summer Semester

Entry Requirements

  • Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree (NFQ Level 8) with at least a second-class honour, grade 2 (2:2) in a relevant or appropriate subject
  • The university may shortlist and invite applicants to an interview

Fees

  • EU Full-time: €10,200, Part-time: €5,600 per annum
  • Non-EU Full-time: €18,400, Part-time: €10,400 per annum
  • Year 2 fees are subject to change
  • Please note that international study visas are only available to students studying full-time in Ireland
