Law (Graduate Entry) - LLB
Brief Description
The Law LLB (Graduate Entry) is designed for graduates from another discipline who want to pursue a legal education or are considering a career change. This two-year, full-time undergraduate programme provides a comprehensive legal education rooted in the common law tradition.

Year 1
Autumn Semester
Core modules:
- Criminal Law 1 (LA4211) examines the general principles of criminal law.
- Constitutional Law (LA4430) examines the Irish Constitution from an institutional perspective.
- Contract Law 1 (LA4111) provides the legal basis for the creation and enforcement of contracts.
- Legal Systems & Methods (LA4001) explores the discipline of law through an examination of the functioning of the legal system.
- Law of Torts 1 (LA4310) evaluates the role of the law of torts in society.
Spring Semester
Core modules:
- Criminal Law 2 (LA4222) examines principal criminal offences and elements of criminal procedure.
- Constitutional Law 2 (LA4440) examines the fundamental rights provisions of the Irish Constitution.
- Contract Law 2 (LA4122) explores how contracts may be discharged or avoided and the remedies available to ensure their performance.

Entry Requirements
- Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree (NFQ Level 8) in a discipline other than law.

Fees
- EU: €5,662 per annum
- Non-EU: €17,500 per annum
- Year 2 fees are subject to change
- Annual fees are billed by semester. Once registered, students may be eligible to apply for a monthly payment plan.
