Introduction to the University of Kent

Overview of the MSc in Economics and Data Science

The MSc in Economics and Data Science is a two-year full-time program that provides students with advanced training in economic theory, econometric methods, and data science. Entry Requirements

To be eligible for the program, applicants must have a first or second-class honors degree from the UK or an equivalent internationally recognized qualification in economics or a combined degree in economics and another subject. Applicants must also have a good level of quantitative skills.


English Language Requirements

The program requires a good level of English language, equivalent to B2 on CEFR. Examples of accepted English language qualifications include IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component and PTE Academic 63 with a minimum of 59 in each sub-test.


Fees and Funding

The tuition fee for the first year of the program is £10,000 for UK students and £20,700 for international students. For the second year, students will be charged the current fee charged by Aix Marseille University.
