Overview of the Law (Graduate Entry) LLB (Hons) Program
The Law (Graduate Entry) LLB (Hons) program at the University of Kent is designed exclusively for graduate entrants, providing a comprehensive education in law and preparing students for a successful career in the legal profession. This two-year full-time or four-year part-time program develops critical and analytical skills, enabling students to think about the role of law in society and gain hands-on experience through opportunities to work on real cases in the Kent Law Clinic.

The Course
The program covers the core foundations of legal knowledge designed to meet professional requirements, with scope for optional choices to pursue and develop interests in law. Students will learn about the nature of property, the distinct character and effect of property rights, and the system of land registration in English law. They will also explore the law of contract, tort law, equity and trusts, and international economic law.
What You'll Study
- Stage 2: Compulsory modules include Institutions of Justice, Critical Introduction to Law, Public Law, Contract Law, EU Law, and Criminal Law.
- Stage 3: Compulsory modules include Property Law, Tort Law, and Equity and Trusts. Optional modules may include Banking Law, International Economic Law, The Law of Evidence, School Tasking: Teaching the Law, Tax Law, Law, Space and Power, Law, Science and Technology, Law and Social Change, The Vulnerable Person in the Criminal Trial, Privacy, Data Protection and Cyber Law, Asylum and Refugee Law, and Family Law.
Entry Requirements
- UK: A first Bachelor's degree obtained in the UK or at equivalent level, completed with a 2.1 or B average.
- International: Students who hold a qualification equivalent to a first Bachelor's degree obtained in the UK should contact the Admissions Office for advice.
- English Language Requirements: This course requires a Very Good level of English language, equivalent to a high B2 on CEFR.
Fees and Funding
- Tuition Fees for 2026 Entry: Tuition fees in England for 2026 have not yet been set. As a guide, the 2025 annual fee for Home students is £9,535.
- Funding: Kent offers generous financial support schemes to assist eligible undergraduate students during their studies.
