About Program
Program Overview
This HND in Computing for England, approved by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE), focuses on developing advanced digital skills in artificial intelligence, web development, cloud computing and games development using VR technologies. Upon successful completion, graduates are awarded the Higher National Diploma in Computing for England qualification by the University of Bolton and may be eligible for Associate Membership of the BCS.

Admission Requirements
Entry Requirements:
- UCAS points: 48 UCAS points. The University accepts a range of qualifications that carry UCAS points, including A-levels, BTECs, and T levels.
- Subjects: Any subjects are acceptable at Level 3. Relevant computing-related subjects are preferred.
- GCSEs: GCSEs in Mathematics and English at grade C or above or grade 4 to 9 (or equivalent) are required.
- Work Experience: The course is open to applicants who have extensive appropriate work experience in the IT sector.
- Interview/Portfolio: Applicants may be required to attend an interview and/or provide a portfolio of work.
Language Proficiency Requirements:
- English as a Second Language: If English is not your first language, you will need IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in reading and writing (or equivalent). The University also accepts a range of other English language qualifications.
