  • Understand advanced knowledge of Chemistry and Biosciences in the practice of Chemical Science.
  • Conduct experiments to achieve the requirements established therein.
  • Use systems, components, or processes to achieve the requirements established in the activities conducted.
  • Identify, formulate, and solve basic problems in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, and Biology and problems in the fields of Chemistry, Biosciences, and Engineering.
  • Analyse, integrate, and interpret data and information in the fields of Chemistry and Biosciences.
  • Use new techniques and new tools in Chemical Science.
  • Design processes and experiments to achieve the requirements established therein.
  • Assess risks in the use of chemical and biological substances.

Skills to be Acquired

  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing and use English as a foreign language.
  • Work on a team within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Assess the impact of Chemistry and Biosciences on the sustainable development of society.
  • Incorporate ethical reasoning to work in a professional environment in a responsible manner.
  • Incorporate contemporary aspects related to the exercise of the profession.
  • Develop learning skills that are necessary to undertake further studies and be aware of the need for continuing education for appropriate professional development.

In-Company Internships

As part of the curriculum of the Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, all students conduct internships within research centres or paid internships within companies in the sector equivalent to six credit hours. IQS Career Services gives advice and helps students find and carry out their internships.

Career Opportunities

The professional opportunities for IQS Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry graduates are incredibly varied. Some of the career opportunities include:

  • Companies in which chemical and/or biotechnological processes are carried out: pharmaceutical, food, and environmental technologies and chemical, petrochemical, automotive, and textile industries.
  • Postgraduate studies: master’s and doctoral degrees.
  • Government and teaching.
  • R&D&i teams to develop and apply new chemical and/or biotechnological products, processes, or technologies to use raw materials and processes for the treatment and reuse of industrial waste.

Admissions Process

To apply for admission to the Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, students must submit various documents, including:

  • Valid ID/Passport
