Es prioritario incorporar criterios de sostenibilidad a la gestión de compras con el fin de reducir el riesgo reputacional y consiguiente riesgo económico. Inversores, clientes, consumidores y reguladores esperan que la empresa evolucione hacia modelos de economía sostenible. Debido a su rol estratégico y su capacidad para introducir criterios de sostenibilidad en la cadena de valor, la función de Compras tiene un papel clave en esta transformación a largo plazo. Para ello es necesario modificar visión, estrategias, procesos y perfiles de proveedores, así como incorporar nuevas competencias al equipo de Compras.

Objetivos de aprendizaje
