Degree Overview:

The Master in Global Entrepreneurial Management (MGEM) is a 12-month, full-time program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage and lead companies in global markets. The program emphasizes innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, and cross-cultural management. It is taught jointly by three institutions: IQS School of Management (Barcelona, Spain), Fu Jen Catholic University (Taipei, Taiwan), and Loyola Marymount University (Los Angeles, USA).


Objectives:

  • To provide comprehensive training in business and international environments.
  • To equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to manage and take on executive management roles at companies across global markets, with a special focus on innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • To develop the abilities required to lead multicultural teams and the negotiation and communication skills needed in a globalized world.
  • To provide students with the tools they need to manage and lead companies and organizations on an international scale.

The MGEM program is structured in three sequential modules across the three geographical locations:


Module 1: Barcelona (September-December)

  • Global Environment and Business Trends (3.5 ECTS)
  • Technology Appreciation and Intellectual Property Management (3.5 ECTS)
  • Cross-Cultural Management and Ethical Business Practice (3.5 ECTS)
  • Common Ground in Corporate Valuation and Accounting (3.5 ECTS)
  • Consulting Projects (3 ECTS)

Module 2: Taipei (January-April)

  • Operations Management and Supply Chain Management with a Global Perspective (3.5 ECTS)
  • Research of Special Topics in Global Entrepreneurship & Management (Business Plan) (15 ECTS)
  • Corporate Finance with a Global Perspective (3.5 ECTS)
  • Innovation Technology Management (3.5 ECTS)
  • Entry Barriers and Strategic Alliance (3.5 ECTS)

Module 3: Los Angeles (May-August)

  • Cross-Cultural Marketing & Integrated Marketing Communications (3.5 ECTS)
  • Business Analytics in the Global Context (3.5 ECTS)
  • Social Entrepreneurship (3.5 ECTS)
  • Venture Capital, Corporate Entrepreneurship and Micro Finance (3.5 ECTS)

Teaching:

  • The program employs a case study and project-based methodology.
  • Students work on consulting projects in collaboration with companies present in global markets.
  • Students participate in startup acceleration projects, working alongside innovative startups and developing business plans.
  • MGEM Business Games provide opportunities for practicing managerial skills in a fun and competitive way.
  • A three-month internship in Los Angeles is available at the end of the program.
