Program Overview
This program equips Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists with knowledge and skills to safely handle and prepare hazardous drugs in certified biohazard safety cabinets. Participants must have completed prerequisites in basic and advanced sterile preparation. The required textbook is "Fundamentals of Sterile Products Preparation for Pharmacy Technicians" by Johnston and Tsallas. Lab kits will be provided. The program is a requirement for Sterile Compounding Certification.
