Program Overview
This nationally recognised course provides essential grounding in the principles and techniques to enable technicians to meet the increasingly challenging and exciting nature of the industry. Students will use CAD software to produce both two-dimensional drawings and three-dimensional models. This qualification is aimed at higher technician engineers who are currently employed in the engineering sector and builds on the principles covered in the BTEC National Certificate course.

- For July/September 2023 entry:
- HNC: One A Level at grade C in a required subject (Physics, Maths or Computer Design Technology, Engineering) or equivalent AVCE or National Diploma / Certificate (or equivalent UK or overseas qualifications).
- FdEng: 120 Level C credits from an HNC in a required subject. Normally at least 40 credits should be at Merit or above and 20 of these credits should be from a mathematical analytical unit.
Language Proficiency Requirements:
- For July/September 2023 entry: IELTS (Academic) 6.0 with 5.5 in each component or equivalent. Successful completion of this course will meet your English language requirement.
