Program Overview

The Saskatchewan Urban Native Teacher Education Program (SUNTEP) is a four-year pre-service teacher training program that prepares Métis individuals to become elementary school teachers. The program emphasizes Métis Ways of Knowing and Being, cross-cultural education, and social justice. SUNTEP graduates are highly sought after in urban Saskatchewan school divisions and have gained excellent reputations as advocates, role models, mentors, and leaders.
