Program Overview


Stakeholder Influencing for Enterprise Innovators (BU6019)

Module Goal

This module aims to provide participants with the skills necessary to convey innovative business concepts to critical stakeholders. It focuses on identifying key stakeholders for new ideas within new and established organisations. Through a combination of written and verbal techniques, participants will learn how to win support for new business plans and models.


Module Content

Professional writing, crafting effective presentations, business plan structures, Q&A handling, effective verbal and non-verbal communication, identifying key stakeholders, public speaking, audience analysis, elevator pitches, ethics and transparency.


Module delivery will combine lectures with practice-oriented experiential learning. The students will present and communicate self-generated ideas in role-playing and simulation exercises throughout the module, which will develop their skills in parallel with case studies, guest speakers, and workshops.

Requirements

  • A candidate must have obtained at least a Second Class Honours primary degree in a NFQ level 8 degree.
  • Consideration will be given to applicants with sufficient equivalent professional qualifications or significant industrial experience. These applicants will be reviewed by the Programme Lead on the basis of their relevant work experience and motivation statement.
  • All applicants whose first language is not English are expected to have a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, with no individual section lower than 6.5, as per UCC requirements.

Fees and Costs

The HCI Pillar 3 Micro-credential Learner Fee Subsidy has been introduced to enable more learners to address critical skills gaps and engage with lifelong learning.


The fee for this micro-credential is €2,500 but applicants who meet the subsidy requirements can attend this micro-credential for €1250.
