Outline
Participants will be supported to reflect on research supervision through the lens of inclusion; the aim being to equip supervisors with the knowledge and skills necessary to foster inclusive supervisor-supervisee relationships.

On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
- Demonstrate a knowledge of the role of policy and procedure in shaping research supervision.
- Demonstrate a critical awareness of research on the supervisor-supervisee relationship; apply insight gained from state-of-the-art research to reflect on the best tools to use to promote inclusive supervision.
- Appraise the social norms and relationships embedded within the supervisor-supervisee relationship and use insights drawn from interdisciplinary research to address such issues as the effects of hierarchical power differentials and poor wellbeing among supervisees and supervisors.
- Practice the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) through scaffolded worksheet which could provide the basis for a SoTL artifact on the topic of supervision.
Requirements
- Academic Requirements: Applicants must have a primary honours degree (NFQ, Level 8) and be teaching in the third level education sector.
- Applicants must be employed in a Higher Education institution.
- A requirement will be access to high-speed broadband in order to access the institutional VLE Canvas.
