Program Overview
Introduction to the Master's in Accounting Program
The Master's in Accounting program at University College Cork is a one-year full-time course designed to prepare students for a career in professional accounting. The program offers a postgraduate route to a career in accounting and provides students with the opportunity to complete much of the study and examination requirements involved in qualifying as an accountant.
Course Outline
The program consists of 90 credits, with 60 credits of taught modules and 30 credits of research modules. The taught modules cover core technical materials assessed in professional examinations, as well as emerging contemporary issues in accounting and finance. Students also develop personal competencies and skills in commercial judgment, giving them a competitive edge in their future careers.
