Prepare for an exciting career in live event management or audio production in our music industry program, which was created in partnership with the prestigious Darla Moore School of Business.
Get a broad education in all aspects of the music industry plus a comprehensive liberal arts education. Take music training including group lessons, basic theory and popular music history. Music industry studies include hands-on learning with applied recording technology, live event production/management and basic business/economics courses.

What You’ll Study
Learn about the music industry and study the aesthetics of style and how artistic and cultural forces shape it. Explore marketing, promotion, management and merchandising and choose from concentrations in audio, live promotion or record label. Use data analysis to support decision-making. Learn about consumer behavior, international business and public relations.
