Music Education, M.M.Ed.

School of Music

Gain additional knowledge in pedagogy, music theory and history, educational research, assessment, curriculum development and more. A teaching certification is required. Online courses are available.


In collaboration with the USC College of Education, the master of music education degree is designed for music students who already have teaching certification. Enhance your general music knowledge and understanding of learning theories, and familiarize yourself with cutting-edge pedagogy and research. Choose from a recital track, a thesis track or neither.
