Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner: Nursing, Certificate

Prepare to provide holistic mental health care integrating neuroscientific principles of behavior, experience and psychopharmacology with psychotherapy, consultation and trauma-related care.

The certificate is restricted to students who hold a master’s degree in nursing. The curriculum augments prior graduate study through advanced practice preparation. This curriculum prepares nurses to sit for national certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.

What You’ll Study

This post-master’s graduate certificate program is a minimum of 18 credits (32 for non-APRNs) and takes a minimum of four semesters (six semesters for non-APRNs) to complete. The program includes didactic, clinical and immersion requirements.
