Students aware of past civilizations thrive in their academic work and future careers. Pursue a degree with a concentration in classical studies, ancient Greek or Latin, and develop cultural literacy to better understand today's world.


Classical literature is foundational to the study of history, art history, philosophy, political science, law, religious studies, modern literature, health care professions and the sciences. Through the study and interpretation of these works, students acquire a deeper understanding of the linguistic and conceptual roots of their own cultures.
