The research-oriented graduate degree requires a thesis and 24 hours of graduate coursework. Study in five core areas: aeroelasticity, aerodynamics and flight mechanics, aerospace structures, composite materials and finite element analysis. Choose electives to suit your goals. Submit research as a conference paper or for journal publication.

What You’ll Study

Study advanced principles of engineering, science and mathematics, and concentrate in the mechanics, materials or flight aspects of aerospace engineering, with the goal of career advancement in research, design and application. A thesis is required. Applicants are expected to have earned an undergraduate degree in engineering or a related field.
