Learn culturally relevant teaching skills while practicing teaching during more than 700 hours of classroom experience to kickstart a career working on behalf of young children and their families. Options to specialize are available.

What You’ll Study

Courses include trends in teaching and learning, schools in communities, diversity in learning and classroom assessment. Additional studies include children's literature, elementary mathematics, physical education, plus electives in arts, drama or music. Graduates will be recommended for teacher certification for pre-K through grade 3.
