An emphasis in dance education offers an opportunity to pursue your SC K-12 teacher's certification in addition to pursuing a degree in dance and participating fully in technique classes, performances and coursework. Gain practical teaching experiences through placement in K-12 schools and other educational and community partnerships.

Five productions a year feature a wide-ranging repertory of works by world-renowned choreographers, faculty and students.
What You’ll Study
Lead lessons for K-12 students in the community, as well as populations with disabilities. Mentor high school choreography projects. Participate in national conferences and advocate for the arts at the South Carolina Statehouse.
