Program Overview


Through a blended model of online study and school attendance, students develop university-level skills and receive support from Murdoch tutors. The program offers scholarships for equity students and provides a structured learning experience aligned with Year 12 completion, making it a viable option for university entry.

Program Outline

It is an alternative option to the ATAR pathways into university. The program is delivered as a blended program utilizing both online independent study and dedicated class time at each partner school. Murdoch tutors guide and assess the student learning experience and support teacher facilitators at participating schools.


Objectives:

The program aims to help students:

  • Provide a structured and supportive learning experience for students seeking an alternative option to the ATAR pathways into university.

Description:

  • Dates: Wednesday 31st January 2024 - Friday 20th September 2024
  • Cost: $1,200 (Fully funded scholarships are available to equity students)
  • Students must be committed to attending FlexiTrack High classes during Terms 1, 2 and 3 while completing Year 12 as well as studying independently and during the term breaks.
  • As FlexiTrack High attracts WACE points, it is assumed that students will complete Year 12.

Teaching:

  • The program is delivered as a blended program utilizing both online independent study and dedicated class time at each partner school.
  • Murdoch tutors guide and assess the student learning experience and support teacher facilitators at participating schools.
  • Students are nominated by representatives from participating schools.
  • The program is also open to humanitarian visa students attending the partnership school.
